Description

This research, that promises remote measurement of plant stress, is expected to bring about significant increases in worldwide production of edible crops. At the same time, successful completion of the project will reduce our dependency on herbicides, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and other agrochemicals. So the consequences are more food and reduced environmental pollution. Our assay platform for measuring and fingerprinting protein degrading enzymes (proteases) promises to have significant applications ranging from food science to drug discovery.
