INTEGRATING CROP POLLINATION BY NATIVE BEES INTO AGRICULTURAL POLLINATION MANAGEMENT AND MAINTAINING NATIVE POLLINATORS AND THEIR HABITATS

Project Details

Description

A better understanding of the conditions in which native bees contribute to crop pollination also make crop pollination more sustainable. This project will measure the amount of crop pollination provided by native bees in New Jersey and will identify land management variables that increase native bee pollination. It will also identify the habitats and floral resources most used by native bees. The resulting knowledge will be transferred to stakeholders and will be used by resource management agencies to restore pollinator habitat throughout the state.
