Project Details
Description
The IR-4 Ornamental Research Center is the first ornamental research center in the North Eastern United States. The ultimate beneficiaries of this center are the growers of ornamental crops and the public consumers. The support will assist in the funding of applied research which will lead to safer chemicals and biopesticide clearances. When the clearance is approved by the EPA, the grower generally employs the use immediately. In the long term, each clearance has bearing on the clearance of additional crop protection tools for the control of insects, diseases and/or weeds on additional commodities.
