MOLECULAR MECHANISMS REGULATING SKELETAL MUSCLE GROWTH AND DIFFERENTIATION

Project Details

Description

The purpose of this project is to increase knowledge of the role of specific cell signaling pathways in regulating muscle growth and animal performance. Experiments conducted in rodents and/or horses will generate muscle samples that will be used to explore the expression or activity of specific gene products. These results will increase knowledge of the impact of protein nutrition on muscle growth mechanisms. Information gained by these studies will be shared publicly to improve animal growth efficiency.
