THE EFFECTS OF URBAN DEER EXCLUSION ON HUMAN RISK OF LYME DISEASE IN NEW JERSEY

Project Details

Description

Deer are a significant problem in urban areas in the US, and are responsible for major economic loss due to crop damage and highway collisions. There are no easy solutions in sight. The effects of totally excluding deer on the transmission of a human pathogen will provide important insights for land use managers and decision makers in deer control strategies.
