Abstract

Bone graft remodelling in any district of the skeletal system is a process by which the graft is converted in a new structure responding to mechanical requests of that district. Spinal instrumentation used to make an easier fusion is, at the same time, a major hindrance to physiologic remodelling of the fusion area after the early stabilization period has passed, Authors think that it is mandatory to remove early the instrumentation and that this will facilitate optimal turn-over and remodelling of the fusion area in a growing spine.
