Abstract

In a previous experimentation authors tested a computerized method to measure vertebral rotations from T1 to L5 and then generate vertebral rotation plots (VRP) which proved to be very useful in monitoring the progression of pathology and the efficacy of treatment A manual application of the VRP was performed by the rule of Perdriolle but in this case the step of 5 degree chosen for the range of accuracy limited its application in milder curves With a new transparent rule to overlap on the X-ray film and an easy formula derived from previous experience, it was possible to improve the accuracy of the plots in milder curves and, then, their efficacy in monitoring the progression of the pathology.
