N2 - This paper presents the results of a survey of the use of wireless and advanced information technology applications in the construction industry. Responses were recorded from 58 construction managers around the world. The results of the survey indicate that construction companies are beginning to employ tools like CAD, web portals and the Internet in their operations. However, it was also found that companies are not yet widely employing wireless technologies at remote offices or the field. Copyright ASCE 2006.
