Abstract
Affiliations between corporate managers and full-time academic physicians can be accomplished and promises to provide both entities with unique strengths otherwise hard to realize. As a specialty, reproductive medicine has come a long way from the days of early research. It is time for those still within the traditional academic confines to become aware of the necessary components required to operate a successful assisted reproduction program. This article relates how the affiliations between academic departments and corporate managers evolved.
