title = "Capture of rare cancer cells in microfluidic devices for treatment monitoring",
abstract = "We report the capture and enumeration of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in an antibody-coated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microfluidic device. We studied the correlation between the number of CTCs, in peripheral blood, and the clinical result of pancreatic adenocarcinoma patients who went through a clinical trial using a drug cocktail. We found a direct correlation between the number of CTCs captured in the device and the change in tumor size measured by computer tomograms (CT scans).",
