Abstract
We have been studying a murine lymphoma cell line, designated CH-1, that was derived from a spontaneous reticulum cell sarcoma (RCS) of SJL mice and that stimulates a strong syngeneic cytotoxic response in vitro. The mechanism for generating cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) that react with these syngeneic tumor cells is similar to the development of CTL directed against allogeneic cells. The data presented here demonstrate that CH-1 tumor cells express foreign transplantation-like antigens and that these may stimulate syngeneic cytotoxic response.
