Abstract
The commercial fishery of Barnegat Bay comprises American eel, white perch, winter flounder, blue crab and (the most valuable species landed) hard clam. Commercial fisherman landed 155.5 MT of finfish and shellfish, valued at US$338 545, from Sept 1976 through Aug 1977. The bulk of the annual sport fishery catch comes from blue crab (the most frequently taken), bluefish and winter flounder.-P.J.Jarvis
