Abstract
The feasibility of the hairless mutant deer-mouse, Peromyscus maniculatus as an in vitro skin permeation model was explored. Two types of Peromyscus maniculatus (Hre-I, Hre-II) skin were tested with hydrocortisone (HC) as a model drug and various enhancer compounds. The results were compared with those of hairless mouse skin. The comparison revealed that hairless Peromyscus maniculatus produces similar permeation as hairless mouse skin (SKH-I).
