Abstract
Three types of capacity planning or shop loading techniques are presented: finite capacity, infinite capacity and the Reiter and Holstein dynamics environment. Computer simulation results provide quantitative measures and magnitudes indicating the degree of the improvement of the dynamic planning model over the others.
