Abstract
We examine a proposal of Georgi and Kaplan for raising the scale of technicolor. In scalarless vectorlike technicolor models with massless techni-fermions we show that the proposal does not work. We present a simple model which realizes the Georgi-Kaplan scenario with a partially chiral technicolor group. The model requires fine tuning of the ratio of two weak coupling constants with an accuracy of O(10-4). We argue that the fine-tuning problem is quite general.
