Abstract

The often contradictory data have led to disagreement and uncertainty regarding the role of combination chemotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer. This would suggest that other factors that are not uniformly considered in the evaluation of the treatments may be involved in the determination of response and survival. The purpose of this paper, therefore, is to review the methods of analysis and the factors that influence response and survival.
