Digital implementation and simulation of an average current controlled switching regulator

Abstract

A digital implementation of a new voltage controlled current source is described. A stability analysis was carried out and a program was developed to simulate the per-formance of this digital controller which incorporates proportional and derivative feedback to regulate the output voltage of a current step-up switching regulator. The results from the simulation program and the implemented breadboard model are presented.
