Abstract
The relationship between epilepsy, abnormal electroencephalograms, and behavior disorders in children is briefly addressed. The use of carbamazepine in an epileptic child with a behavior disorder is reliably evaluated using a controlled A-B-A-B single case experimental design. Advantages and disadvantages of this treatment plan are discussed, and recommendations are made to help the individual practitioner use this format in a clinical setting.
