Flow pyrolysis of allylcyclopentadienyldimethylsilane and of 1-dimethylmethoxysilyl-1-trimethylsilylcyclopentadiene afforded 6, 6-dimethyl-6-silafulvene which was either trapped or allowed to dimerize.
