Abstract

Low-loss coilable single crystal (SC) YAG fibers have been grown using laser heated pedestal growth (LHPG) technique. Coilable SC YAG fibers with tailored rare-earth dopant concentration were also grown, using a sol-gel clad LHPG regrowth.
