Abstract

Diagnosis and treatment of malignant disease of the head and neck are challenging. Even though local tumor control is the first priority, the cosmetic result after surgery is very imprtant. Fortunately, less radical margins of resection allow good local tumor control and satisfactory cosmetic results in most cases.
