Highly aligned ribbon-shaped Pd nanoparticle assemblies by spontaneous organization

Abstract

We report a simple solution-phase method to fabricate one-dimensional ribbon-shaped Pd nanoparticle assemblies. A remarkable feature of this approach is that no templates are required to produce the long uniform Pd nanoribbons. More importantly, the produced Pd nanoribbons can be easily aligned and immobilized on Si surfaces or other insulating substrates for future nanodevice fabrication.
