Abstract

The main and side chains of P-4-BCMU macromolecules were observed by XRD measurements and AFM observations. It was found that such chains self-assemble into highly ordered structures at different length scales in the lyotropic phase and also during solidification from the lyotropic phase. The main chains of P-4-BCMU molecules formed the lamellae corresponding to the average molecule length. The side chains formed the lamella, having a uniform thickness of about 2.7 nm.
