Abstract

The fourth K^π = 0⁺ band with bandhead at 1833.5 keV in ¹⁶⁸Er has been identified by combining (n,γ) and (n,e^-) data with the results of (t,p) reaction spectroscopy. Possible interpretations of the new band are advanced.
