Abstract

Direct and Large Eddy Simulation of compressible turbulent flows oftentimes requires the specification of dynamic (i.e., time varying) inflow boundary conditions that simulate a turbulent inflow. The paper summarizes several recent methods for generating dynamic inflow boundary conditions for a flat plate turbulent boundary layer using a recycling technique.
