Abstract

The effects of dipole-dipole cross-relaxations on the spectral lineshape of the methyl protons have been examined from inversion-recovery measurements. The approach of the state multipole formalism is invoked in the interpretation of relaxation processes and the analyses of lineshapes. Excellent agreements between the observed spectra and the simulation demonstrate that the measurement of spectral lineshapes by inversion recovery provides a convenient method for the study of dipole-dipole cross-relaxation of methyl protons.
