Laser-induced fluorescence of CsH (A 1Σ+→X 1Σ+) to levels near the dissociation limit of X 1Σ+

Abstract

A new laser-induced fluorescent doublet of CsH [A 1Σ +(v′=19)→X 1Σ+(v″=v m)] is reported. The final vibrational-rotational levels (v″=vm, J″=9 or 11) are near the dissociation limit of the ground X 1Σ+ state. A comparison of the experimentally observed location and separation of the doublet with recent theoretical predictions is also presented.
