Abstract
Within the minimal standard model, excluding QCD, two unknown couplings could turn out to be strong at energies between 100 GeV and 1 TeV. These coupling are related to the higgs and top quark masses. This review deals with developments related to this possibility that occured during the last year, mainly focusing on lattice work.
