Abstract

A review is presented of the main work on the modeling of multiphase processes in porous media. The various aspects of the problems arising are discussed, from the modeling of the structure of the porous body to the distribution of the phase in the pore volume. Concrete examples are presented for the application of the methods discussed to problems of chemical engineering. This work is pertinent to electrochemistry and catalysts.
