Abstract

A series of Cr(III) complexes with dichloro-tetramorpholino-cyclophosphazatriene (L) as ligand was prepared. Dichloro-tetramorpholino-cyclophosphazatriene (L) reacts with chromium compounds (CrCl3·6H2O, K3[Cr(NCS)6], Cr2(SO4)3·H2O, and Cr(NO3)3·9H2O) in methanolic solutions for the corresponding molar ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 2:3. The general formulas of the obtained complexes are: [CrL(OH2)Cl3], [Cr2L(OH2)2Cl6], [Cr3L2(OH2)2Cl8]Cl, K[CrL(SCN)4], [CrL(OH2)3(SO4)4](SO 4)1/2, [Cr2L(OH2)6(SO4) 2](SO4), [Cr3L2(OH2)6(SO4) 4](SO4)1/2, [CrL(OH2)2(NO3)2](NO3), [Cr2L(OH2)4(NO3) 4](NO3)2, [Cr3L2(OH2)4(NO3) 6](NO3)3. The complexes were characterized by means of elementar chemical analysis, IR, UV-VIS and EPR spectra, molar electrical conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements.
