Abstract

This paper presents a multi-target continuous wave vital sign radar sensor module using metamaterial (MTM) leaky wave antennas (LWAs). By utilizing continuous-wave Doppler radar and performing frequency-space mapping over the azimuth angle, we can obtain both respiration and heartbeat rates from multiple people by simply analyzing the baseband signals of the different carrier frequencies at 24 GHz band.
