Nonanalog pion double charge exchange through sub33-nucleon interaction

Numerical results have been obtained for calculations of pion double-charge-exchange arising from sub33-mediated processes. Calculations of double-charge-exchange excitation functions and angular distributions are presented for the reaction sup16O(sup+sup-) sup16Ne(g.s.). The sensitivity of the calculations to quantities specifying the reaction mechanism is shown.
