Abstract

In the past there have been papers in which it has been shown that the average outgoing quality limit (AOQL) of any Dodge type plan depends heavily on whether or not the assumption of statistical control is imposed on the production process. Through consideration of the continuous sampling plan CSP-1 it is shown (by comparison with known results) that these AOQLs also depend on the type of sampling done while on partial inspection and on the interaction of the production process with the inspection procedure.
