Obesity: It's everybody's crisis

Research output: Contribution to journalReview articlepeer-review

Abstract

Despite the globesity epidemic striking all stages of the life span, weight management is not consistently addressed by health professionals in discussions with patients. Reasons behind this dichotomy of increased patient need and decreased intervention by health providers as well as strategies for screening are addressed. Recommendations and roles of dietetic professionals in supporting the screening process for risk of overweight and/or obesity by nondietetic professionals are provided.
