Performance model for a manufacturing system with a material handling system

Abstract

An approximation closed queueing network model is presented for a manufacturing cell attended by a batch-processing material handling system. Some performance measures are computed and the behavior of the system is analyzed. A simulation program with the same basic assumptions is developed to determine the accuracy of the result.
