Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine mechanical properties of aortic segments to develop a model which will simulate the behavior of the aorta in vivo. The mechanical behavior has been modeled using a combination of experimental uniaxial stress-strain and pressurization tests as well as tangential nonlinear theory. Refs.
