Real-time parameter estimation via block pulse functions

Abstract

A real-time scheme for estimation of parameters of a continuous-time multiple-input-single-output (MISO) transfer matrix model is presented. The method is based on an integral equation approach and the input/output signals are characterized by block pulse functions. Some factors affecting estimation are discussed. To improve performance in the presence of noise, a generalized-least-squares implementation has been carried out. Performance under various sampling conditions inputs, and numerical treatments is discussed.
