Abstract

The processing of ceramic slips requires attention to a variety of parameters. Particle-size disribution and the associated packing have been highlighted as critical. The packing of ceramic suspensions is best described in terms of continuous distributions. Computer simulations have shown that packing is optimized when the distribution modulus is equal to 0.37.
