Abstract

(Chemical Equation Presented) Insight derived from a synthetic model, calculated ¹³C NMR data, and comparison to experimental data indicate that the proposed allenic structure A, originally assigned to an isolate from Brosimum acutifolium Huber, should be revised to B, a natural product and nonallenic substance, mururin C.
