Abstract
As a do-it-yourself guide for future researchers, some procedures for derivation of cognitive maps from questionnaires are set forth in this section. These are the procedures used in the empirical study by Roberts, and are similar to the procedures used in Hart's empirical study. They can be readily adapted to a variety of research designs of greater or lesser complexity.
