Abstract

Characteristic impedance, compliance, and resistance of a lumped model of the systemic arterial tree are identified in the time and frequency domains during control and during aortic occlusion. There is no significant difference in the parametric values obtained using either approach. The time-domain method, however, is both simple and fast and can afford the advantage of online identification.
