Abstract

Temperature-dependent femtosecond optical spectroscopy is used to track polaron dynamics in the spin and charge frustrated system LuFe₂O ₄, revealing the influence of charge and spin ordering on polaron excitation, redressing, and coupling to on-site excitations.
